Actually since the surplus deactivated artillery rounds, and were sold to the public, many were made into lamps. This kind of lamps were very popular once a while. This piece was made from WWI artillery shell, not WWII. The helmet was either in WWI or WWII. Because British army wore the same design both in WWI and WWII.
