Happy Birthday Maggie!
This cake's design was inspired by master cake artist Toba Garret. Recently I read one of her books - "Well-Decorated Cake". I was amazed by the techniques called "bridge & extension work" & "satin stitch".
So I practiced them on this cake. It was lots of works. But it was very fun. The result is magnificent.
