BBQ Pork in Slow Cooker

Victor likes Chinese BBQ Pork. Every time when we go to China Town, that's one of the things for sure on our list.  However we don't go there every often. So I wanted to make my version of BBQ Pork.  I`ve been trying this recipe for few times.  It was either over cooked, no more texture; or too dry, feel like eating pork jerk.

Recent time, it came out pretty good.  It's not exactly alike the one in China Town, but he who is picky alike Victor enjoyed. It's convenient for the working class family.  Prepare the night before, plug on the next morning, will be done by the time you get home from work. Prepare a salad and rice or bread go with.  Voila, here is your quick and yummy dinner.

Who feels like cooking after long day working?  Try this, it won't disappoint you.

Serving: 3
Prepare Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 hours15 minutes

Ingredients:
2 lb.                                Pork tenderloin
2 tablespoon                   Brown sugar
1 teaspoon                      Chinese 5 spicy powder
1 teaspoon                      Coriander powder
1 teaspoon                      Ginger powder
1 teaspoon                      Garlic powder
2 tablespoon                   Paprika
1/2 teaspoon                   Cinnamon powder
2 table spoon                  Cooking wine
2 pieces                          Green onion (whole piece)
1 teaspoon                      Kosher salt
3 drops                           Red food color

In a large bowl, well mix all ingredients.  Put in a large Ziploc bag, push out all the air and seal.  Refrigerate the bag over night.  The next morning, pour 2 tablespoon hot water into slow cooker, put the 2 pieces of green onion on the bottom of the cooker; then place all marinated pork on top of green onion. Put lid on.  Set 3 hours cooking time.

When you come back from work, the pork is already cooked.  To add more flavor: preheat oven to 480F degree. Put pork on a baking tray, place on the middle rack in the oven for 15 minutes.
