It started rain at night, slowly turned to snow at midnight. The next morning clouds were hanging low. As planned we drove to Banff Gondola. While the way climbing up to the mountain, it was getting more fogy. The visibility was only 20 meters. With this kind of weather, there was nothing can see. So we decided to drive around Banff.
Right in frond of the Bow Falls, a man was fishing. I was interested to see if he could catch anything. Unfortunately, 15 minutes later he left with empty hands. Then we walked toward the golf course. From the distance we saw an elk. What a beautiful creature walking around peacefully. This was the first time I saw an elk I stood there for at least 20 minutes. We went to Banff information center before. The lady told us there are lots of wildlife in Banff National Park. But we didn't see any others.
Around noon, the rain was getting heavier. After bagel sandwich break,
we drove to Marsh Loop. On the map it says "Marsh Boardwalk". We were
expecting to walk on board. However, there was no board (maybe we
didn't find the right place). It was muddy road with horse manure. I
thought maybe we will heat the boardwalk later after this. 5 minutes,
10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes... we still didn't see any boardwalk,
and there was nobody around but three of us. My mother worried: "we
are walking cycle." I told them: don't worry, it called loop, that
means we will go back where we started. I wasn't worried at all,
instead I enjoyed the hidden beauty. After more than one hour we got
back the main road. Our shoes were full of mud and manure, and in our
cameras were full of beautiful pictures as well.
